Shipping

Our shipping effort has started and continues.  We are more than excited to hear reports of folks receiving their copies of Castle Assault: The Fell Fire Forge, and
if you have not yet received yours yet - do not worry.  I was excited to learn that a large number of packages (both domestic and international) were dropped off on
Sunday 4/30, and to my suprise folks had already begun receiving their packages as early as Monday 5/1.  For those who have not yet received yours, or see statues
such as "label printed" or "shipping in process" this is because your package is being dropped off today 5/2, or will be shipped 5/3.  Please understand there are only 3 of us on the Castle Assault team, and while we did have help, we were not able to ship everything in 1 day.
Please rest assured you will not be missed.

Contents

Due to the large number of add-on contents and additional materials, this resulted in a very high number of permutations for different orders.  Because of this, we had to ask the manufacturer to break items down into "mini-packs".  In most instances they could accommodate our requests, however in others they were not able to, and shipped in bulk.  During the fulfillment process, we would then include each of these mini-packs based on your pledge level or add-on request.  As a result when you receive your package you may receive a large number of separate items.  Please note ALL cards can be used in both Castle Assault Premier Edition or The Fell Fire Forge as they all are forward and reverse compatible. 
 - Castle Assault: The Fell Fire Forge will include a 20 card pack which includes all the Stretch Goal cards. 
 - Command Card Pack #1: includes 2 packs of 8 cards, for a total of 16 Command cards
 - Command Card Pack #2: includes 1 pack of 20 Command cards (these are the same as The Fell Fire Forge Stretch Goal cards).
 - Heroes pack: includes all 4 Heroes from Fell Fire Forge, and 6 Heroes from the Premier Edition.  The 4 Heroes from the Fell Fire Forge is a mini-pack, and the 6
Heroes from the Premier Edition will be sleeved.  This was sometimes sleeved into 2 sleeves depending on the sleeve size to prevent damage to the 6 cards.  This
is a total of 10 cards.
 - Kaz-rath'dun pledge: includes a shrink wrapped 5 card promotional pack and a sleeved set of 6 cards (1 bonus card!).  This was sometimes sleeved
into 2 sleeves depending on the sleeve size to prevent damage to the 6 cards.  This is a total of 11 cards. 

It is my intention to create a card list - and will do so shortly, however in fairness to your fellow gamers, please allow me to ship the games to everyone first. 

Learning to Play

When folks begin to receive their copies of Castle Assault there are two recommended methods to learn how to play:

• For folks who read the rulebook to learn (like me!) - we recommend starting with the Fell Fire Forge Rule Booklet.  Open the small Fell Fire Forge box first and check out the red Rule Booklet.  Page #9 begins with an actual example of gameplay through the first 6 turns (each Player taking 3 turns, 1 after the other).  It is recommended for both 1 Player and 2 Player mode that the Fell Fire Forge Rule Booklet is reviewed first.  For 1 Player, once you are familiar with the turn structure, read the "Campaign Guide" for the 1 Player mechanics.
• For folks who like watching videos to learn (like probably most of you) start with the "a quick game" - Link.  This site provides 3 short videos of the Castle Assault team walking through folks new to Castle Assault.  There is also a Dice Tower video of a game being described.  These videos can be referenced for gameplay to support the Fell Fire Forge Rule Booklet.

Fell Fire Forge Blazes to Life! - Lock-Down your Shipping Address

My friends - another quick update to communicate the Fell Fire Forge has passed through the fiery gates of US customs, and will be loaded on to the trucks for delivery on 4/27.  As promised it is our intention to execute fulfillment and shipping as soon as possible.  We have arranged our team and even some additional resources to get the Fell Fire Forge in your hands and shipped as soon as possible.  We are nothing short of excited to get our shared project into your hands and have it hit your table!

Finally - please consider this your last opportunity to Lock-Down your shipping addresses.  On 4/27 8am EDT we will formally Lock-Down your responses.  If you e-mail us after that date we will be sure to work with you for your certain extenuating circumstances, but please be aware that any time after 4/27 we may have actually already shipped your package!

The Fell Fire Forge is nearly here!

A quick exciting update to communicate that the Castle Assault team has been informed that the Fell Fire Forge has officially been unloaded from the container ship and is currently being processed by US customs.  

Our customs broker is currently working the logistics of the unload and shipping, and we are very excited to estimate that shipping will begin next week.   Of course this estimate is subject to a smooth customs inspection, which I'm told will occur either today 4/20 or more likely tomorrow 4/21.

More details and photos to follow once we recieve our shipment!

Castle Assault: Fell Fire Forge - Games En Route!

• Excitement building!

After a 5 day delay at the loading shipping docks, our manufacturer has shared The Fell Fire Forge has successfully been loaded onto our container ship and is on our way to our table tops aboard the "Arnold Maersk". 

I'm embarrassed to admit I've been impatiently tracking the ships progress across the seas because I'm secretly hoping for an earlier than expected arrival...  however things have remained perfectly on schedule since its loading, resulting in an arrival to New York Friday 4/14/2017.  I'm not confident if customs officials and our custom brokers work the weekends (or 24-7), but our customs brokers currently already have all the necessary paperwork to complete their tasks, to clear customs, and truck the Fell Fire Forge to our warehouse. 

Communicating with our shipping team, they are primed and ready for any arrival date between 4/15 - 21, resulting in arrival at your doorsteps a few days later.  As promised before, it remains our intention the very day after we receive the games in our hands... to immediately ship them all to you. It is the best we can do for the only few remaining steps of which we have control of.

Finally thank you again for all of your ongoing support of The Fell Fire Forge!  Believe me, we are more than excited to bring this project to realization and deliver it to your homes, and have you rock out to the Fell Fire Forge experience!!

Schedule Update

• Schedule shift from Mid-March to Early-April fulfillment

Speaking with our manufacturer numerous times over the past 2 weeks, they have communicated a delay in manufacturing due to component availability and resource staffing.  Our team is none to pleased to have it officially declared, as we were suspicious of this reality as the manufacturer missed late milestones in the project.  While it remains our opinion both of these issues could have been avoided due to a normal level of planning on behalf of the manufacturer, we are now riding their progress daily until the Fell Fire Forge is shipped.

• Component Availability - reasoning - we added additional content since the inception of the project.
• Manufacturer Resource Staffing - reasoning - reduced level of employees due to the Chinese New Year.

Today 2/27 our manufacturer has confirmed a ship date of late this week or early next week, resulting in a delivery to our facility in the east coast of the United States of early April.  While frustrating, it is reality which must be shared with you.  As a corrective action and to gain a few days back in our favor, it is our intention the very day after we receive the games in our hands, we pledge to ship them all to you.  It is the best we can do for the situation we have control of.  I apologize on behalf of our manufacturer, and I personally thank you all for your understanding.
